Operations Manager

Location:  Remote working so not location specific

Salary range:  £40,000 - £45,000 GBP p.a. 

Working HoursFull time 40 hours per week. Flexible working hours can be arranged.


Overview

We are looking to take on an operations manager. The role is varied and requires flexibility. You would be part of the senior management team involved in strategic aspects of the business management and development in the following areas:
  • Hub management - liaising, appointing, training and dealing with all aspects of working with 3rd party partners who act as Ezi hubs around the world. 
  • Shipping operations - Working with our shipping & customs specialist to improve and implement all shipping processes within the business. 
  • Fulfilment operations - Overseeing and managing the roll out of Ezi fulfilment across selected hubs 

The post can be carried out on a remote working basis.  Currently our admin and customer service team are based in France, Germany, Cyprus, India and the UK, all working remotely. There will be scheduled meetings throughout the year which may be based at any of our hubs worldwide; therefore some travel is required.


Specific duties & responsibilities

Specific duties include but are not limited to the following.

Hub management 
  • Sourcing, contracting and communicating with potential new hub partners around the world. 
  • Organising, onboarding, training and ongoing support for our hub partner network. 
  • Developing processes for hub operations. 
  • Addressing issues with hubs and working to constantly improve hubs and Ezi’s performance. 
  • Visiting hubs to conduct in person training and advice. 

Shipping Operations 
  • Working in co-operation with colleagues in the shipping & customs department on the following areas. 
  • Organise transportation activities across the hub network, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for new ad ad-hoc services as necessary. 
  • Coordinate all customs paperwork as and when necessary. 
  • Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways. 
  • Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule. 
  • Review freight rates and other transportation costs to maintain competitive pricing for our shipping by negotiating with couriers and shippers. 
  • Improve & maintain quality throughout the logistic processes. 

Fulfilment​

This is a new complimentary extension of our current offering and the successful applicant will be working with the Director of the company to plan and manage its implementation across the hubs. Duties would include: 
  • Working on developing existing software functions under directors’ instruction and liaising with hubs to offer support and training. 
  • Helping compile user manuals, videos instruction and other material for our customers and partners. 
  • Onboarding new customers. 
  • Be involved with the overall Fulfilment development plan for the business. 
  • Liaise with the software developers to improve processes, fix bugs, etc.
