Changes to the Ezi Resell service

Update to our Resell Service conditions

The Resell Service has proved very popular, enabling sellers to turn returned goods into sales and profit. However, the existing Ezi software was not originally designed with this purpose in mind. We are now introducing our new software which will make the process much easier and more efficient to ensure orders are submitted and processed quickly and accurately. 


All of our hubs and customers will be moving onto the new software by 1st August.



New conditions to be aware of:

To allow us to offer an improved service we are making the following changes.


Integrate with us

You must provide us with your product database and/or be integrated with us to improve the accuracy of product & order data. 

This is essential for you to continue to use the Resell Service and helps avoid issues with our hubs not being able to identify your products. If you are unable to integrate, you must provide us with a product database. If you integrate with us we can automate the order process and also automate the updating of your inventory and tracking confirmation from our system to yours. If you do not want to provide one of the above requirements we may have to remove the service from your account or increase the fees for this service.


Coming soon: Cross border fulfillment
For customers who are integrated with us or have provided a full product database, we will be able to offer cross border fulfillment from most locations from September 2023. This means you can make your products available for sale outside the country they are stored in giving you a far wider market to sell to.


Storage

The 60 days free storage of items will reduce to 30 days from the 1st August. That is, we will store returned goods free of charge for 30 days, after which time each item will incur a small daily item storage fee. If you are a high volume seller we will move you onto our dedicated fulfillment software where the old stock rule will be waived. Please contact us if you have any questions.


Old stock

A reminder that we have the following policy in place regarding old stock: 

Items that are stored for more than 6 months and not resold in that time, will not be available for resale. They will automatically set to one of the following actions;
 

  • To be shipped back to you OR 
  • To be disposed of or donated OR 
  • To be liquidated if feasible. If our liquidators are successful in liquidating your items you will receive 50% of the revenue generated which will be applied to your account. 


We will not accept any claims for losses or damage for items stored in excess of 6 months. 

If you are a high volume seller we will move you onto our dedicated fulfillment software where the old stock rule will be waived.


Transfer service within the EU

For sellers with returns in the EU, we have a service that allows items in lower volume countries to be transferred and consolidated with your other returns in Germany. 

There is a small fee per package for the transfer service. Overall it works out much more cost effective to have items transferred than ship direct from the smaller countries so this saves you money and is explained in more detail here. 

We are aware that some sellers have not been charged for this service over the past 12 to 18 months due to a technical issue on the software. This has now been fixed and fees apply for all transferred items as follows.


If you receive on average 3 or less items per week, we will enable transfers of your items automatically unless requested otherwise. 


Transfer fees (Euros)

  • Small items 0.60 e.g. small packages, envelopes, small boxed items
  • Medium items 1.10 e.g. most clothing, footwear, etc. 
  • Large Items 1.70 e.g. other items larger than 2kg up to 5kg 



Transfer fees (GBP)

  • Small items 0.50 e.g. small packages, envelopes, small boxed items
  • Medium items 1.00 e.g. most clothing, footwear, etc. 
  • Large Items 1.50 e.g. other items larger than 2kg up to 5kg 



Transfer fees (USD) 

  • Small items 0.65 e.g. small packages, envelopes, small boxed items
  • Medium items 1.30 e.g. most clothing, footwear, etc. 
  • Large Items 1.95 e.g. other items larger than 2kg up to 5kg


New software
Our new Ezi portal is currently being used in a few locations, including USA_IL, Canada, and India. Other hubs are due to go live during late June and into July with all hubs being live by 1st August.

 New features are being released every week to ensure we have the best returns solution for you and your business to make processes as efficient and cost effective as possible.
